Mackenzy Macdonald

Intern Clinical Counsellor

Mackenzy Myhre (she/her) is passionate about creating a safe, empowering space for individuals on their healing journey. She believes in meeting clients where they are and fostering a collaborative environment through a client-centred and trauma-informed lens. Her approach is holistic, feminist, culturally safe, and anti-oppressive, recognizing the profound impact of individual experiences.

Mackenzy prioritizes building a trusting therapeutic relationship, which she sees as the cornerstone of effective therapy. She is drawn to approaches that honour each person’s unique story and inner wisdom, grounded in a holistic perspective for overall well-being.

Mackenzy is especially passionate about working with perinatal mental health—from fertility to postpartum and reproductive grief—recognizing it as a critical and vulnerable time. Her goal is to provide early support, helping women not just survive but thrive.

Mackenzy has completed her Master's degree and is awaiting registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Once she becomes a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), her session rate will increase to reflect her new designation. Clients will receive at least one month's notice before any fee changes take effect.
