Lissette Mairena (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a focus on perinatal mental health. She supports individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, early parenthood, and major life transitions, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Lissette recognizes the courage it takes to reach out for support and feels honoured to walk alongside clients during vulnerable and transformative seasons of life.
Her approach to counselling is trauma-informed, strength-based, and collaborative. Lissette believes that each person already holds inner resources for growth and healing, even during times of uncertainty. She strives to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward at a pace that feels right for them. Her work emphasizes emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and gaining clarity around coping patterns in ways that support meaningful and sustainable change.
As a mother of two young children, Lissette brings both professional training and lived understanding to the realities of parenthood, including the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that can arise during the perinatal period. She works primarily with adults and parents seeking clarity, support, and guidance as they navigate complex emotions and important life decisions.
