Coralee Thomas

Registered Clinical Counsellor, Canadian Certified Counsellor

As humans we are always changing—physically, emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually. However, as we live and grow, we may encounter traumatic experiences, often rooted in our relationships, which derail or block our innate ability for growth, renewal, and change. As a counsellor, Coralee believes change is possible. Her role is to create a safe, warm, optimistic, and caring therapeutic relationship or a “holding space” for you to explore your feelings, adapt new thought processes, and try out new behaviours. Counselling is a collaborative relationship between you and your counsellor which is based on trust, mutual respect, unconditional acceptance, and the belief that people want to improve themselves and their relationships. Coralee believe as humans, we want to do better. Coralee employs an integrative model of counselling which is trauma-focused, strengths-based, person-centred, existential, and solution-focused. She’s here to support you in your journey as you define, on your own terms, what change, personal meaning, and life satisfaction means to you.
