Helena Belkin

Graduate Practicum Counsellor

Helena (she/her) is dedicated to creating a counselling space grounded in compassion, safety, and respect for each client’s lived experience. She believes meaningful healing often begins within a trusting therapeutic relationship, where clients feel supported in reconnecting with their own inner wisdom and capacity for change. With a background in teaching mindfulness meditation and yoga, Helena brings a holistic and body-aware perspective to her work. She believes the body often carries what words cannot fully express, and that healing can involve gently reconnecting with ourselves on both an emotional and embodied level. This informs her interest in supporting clients to develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and a deeper sense of safety within themselves.

Helena is especially drawn to supporting individuals navigating perfectionism, ADHD, anxiety, and relationship challenges. She is passionate about working with individuals who feel weighed down by high expectations, self-criticism, or the pressure to appear as though they have it all together. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they move toward a more grounded and empowered sense of self.
