Lisa Cavey

Registered Clinical Counsellor, Canadian Certified Counsellor

Lisa Cavey (she/her) is the Founder and Clinical Director of Women’s Mental Health. Providing a safe, trauma-informed environment for both clients and clinicians, she empowers women through direct therapeutic work, leadership and clinical supervision. As an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), Lisa mentors seasoned counsellors and practicum students, helping them hone their skills and navigate the complexities of the field.

As a neurodivergent-affirming counsellor, Lisa brings a unique perspective to her practice. Her person-centred, attachment-based approach incorporates self-compassion and parts work, aiming to help clients feel stronger, more confident, and truly happier with their lives.

Beyond her clinical work, Lisa shares her knowledge and passion for mental health practices as an adjunct professor at Adler University. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the BC Chapter of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2013. Despite her professional achievements, Lisa’s most cherished role is that of a mother, bringing the same warmth and dedication to raising her two children as she does to her career in mental health.
